Ordered by latest update — all threads are active.
The CNC shop confirmed ±0.05 mm on the main rail holes. We should update the assembly drawing to reflect the new clearance spec before the next test run.
Vacuum bagging pressure increased to 0.9 bar. The second test panel showed no delamination after 12 thermal cycles. Ready to proceed with full shell layup next week.
The aluminum mold halves have been polished and sealed. First layup scheduled for Thursday. We'll document the peel-ply texture for the FEA correlation report.
All four load cells read within 0.2% of the certified weights. The DAQ script has been updated to log at 100 Hz. Ready for the static load test once the frame is assembled.
We have the low-speed tunnel on March 12 from 09:00 to 16:00. Maximum model size is 1.2 m length. The beech shell and MK-II frame fit within the envelope. I'll prepare the mounting adapter.
All structural prototypes, chassis frames, and composite shells produced by this studio are intended exclusively for controlled kinetic experiments, non-motorized test-track runs, and static or dynamic structural stress validation. No design, drawing, or fabricated assembly is certified for road use, pedestrian transport, or any application involving human occupancy outside a dedicated laboratory or test facility.
Mechanical specifications — including load ratings, safety factors, and material properties — are derived from finite-element analysis and empirical data gathered under the specific conditions described in each project brief. These values do not constitute a general guarantee of performance under unverified loads, environmental extremes, or prolonged fatigue cycles beyond the documented test regime.
The studio does not provide residential architectural services, consumer product manufacturing, or toy safety certifications. All work is confined to lightweight mechanical chassis design, aerodynamic shell geometry, and prototype drafting for low-gravity and kinetic engineering research. Any adaptation of studio designs for purposes outside this stated scope is undertaken at the sole risk of the adapting party.
Drawings and digital models are delivered as reference documents for fabrication by qualified workshops. The studio assumes no liability for deviations introduced during manufacturing, assembly, or modification by third parties. Clients are responsible for verifying that local regulations, material sourcing, and fabrication methods align with the intended experimental use.
Definitions: “Low-gravity mobile frame” refers to a rolling chassis designed for reduced effective gravity via inclined track or counterweight systems. “Non-motorized testing platform” means any test vehicle that derives motion solely from gravitational potential energy or external tow. “Aerodynamic wooden or composite shell” denotes a fairing or monocoque whose primary function is to reduce drag or manage airflow in a test environment, not to serve as a permanent enclosure for occupants.
Updates on prototype builds, test-track results, and mechanical drafting releases.
